MAI DMS ACAP is available on Axis ARPTEC-7 based camera. The DMS ACAP runs in real-tine on the camera SoC and output events to main recorder or IoT gateway, it enables functions such as:
- Driver fatigue detection
- Driver distraction detection (smoke, phone call)
- Driver attention detection (look on the road or off the road)
In the field of transportation 90% of accidents come due to lack of attention, specifically due to distracted use of smartphones. A few grave accidents are also due to fatigue and driver falling asleep.
In other context such as monitoring room, the lack of attention to the display may lead to missed event and slow response to ongoing events.
